About the race

The 6 Geese a-laying Virtual Run is part of a 12 Days of Christmas series. For 2026 the event is available only as a virtual run and can be completed anywhere in the world with date flexibility around the published event date.

Entrants choose one of several distances and must complete their chosen distance within a seven hour time limit. The event is open to walkers and runners. Each lap measures 2.5 km.

Distances:

  • 5k (two 2.5 km laps)
  • 10k
  • Half Marathon
  • Marathon
  • Ultra

The original on-site course is described as a tough off-road route within the grounds of Pengethley Manor, with a hill on each lap and a series of up-and-down sections through two vineyards. For 2026 virtual entries, location is unrestricted.

Virtual entries receive a personalised virtual bib by email. Virtual and in-person medals are the same type. To obtain a mailed virtual medal the organiser requires run verification; there is also a free entry option that records results without providing a medal. International posting of medals may incur additional postage charges.

Entry fees for 2026 in-person race places are not available. Stated virtual fees include a UK option and an overseas option. All entries are non refundable. Entrants must be aged 18 or over. A charity entry option is available with different fundraising conditions and a reduced booking fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
