About the race
The 5K FEST is a 24 hour running event held on August 14, 2027 at the 18 acre Kearin Family Farm in Bonney Lake, WA. Solo runners and teams take part in a repeating 5K format: a new 5K starts on the hour each hour over a 24 hour period, and participants may run as many or as few of those laps as they choose. The objective for each entrant or team is to record how many 5K laps they complete within the 24 hour window.
The course uses both farm land and the adjacent Fennel Creek Trail. Terrain includes pasture, rocky soil and sections of paved trail. The location provides space for tents and RVs so participants can camp on site during the event.
Event services listed for participants include porta potties, water, electrolytes, food and snacks, music, games and camping. Early registrants receive a race T-shirt; every runner or team receives a custom wood plank that will be branded with the number of completed 5K laps. The event is organized by Freedom Ultra Runners and includes on-site finisher awards and event swag. Pets are not allowed due to insurance restrictions.
