5K FEST : 24 hour event
5K FEST is a 24 hour running event organized by Freedom Ultra Runners in Bonney Lake, WA. A new 5K begins every hour, and solo and team entrants may run any number of the hourly 5Ks over the 24 hour period. The objective is to record as many individual or team 5K completions as desired during the event.
The course uses parts of the 18 acre Kearin Family Farm and sections of the adjacent Fennel Creek Trail. Terrain includes pasture, rocky soil and paved trail. The site offers space for tents and RVs so participants can camp on the property.
On-site amenities include porta potties, water, electrolytes and food and snacks. There will be music, games and other event activities. Every participant who completes at least one 5K receives a custom engraved wood plank showing how many 5Ks they or their team completed. Race T-shirts are provided to runners who sign up early enough, though sizes and quantities are limited. Pets are not allowed at the event due to insurance restrictions.
Late registration may be available while space and supplies remain. Entry options include solo or team participation, and runners may skip or join individual hourly 5Ks as they choose. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
