5 Peaks Devon
The event takes place at the Devon Lions Campground and uses river valley trails around the Town of Devon. The course begins with a sustained hill climb to the top of a ridge, then descends on single track to a bluff overlooking the campground, and finishes with about 2 kilometres of hard‑packed trail along the river where participants pass through autumn colours. The site at the campground includes a pavilion with a campfire area and onsite washrooms at the start/finish.
Multiple course options are offered, including children’s races. Loop formats are used: the sport course completes the loop once, the enduro twice, and the grit course three times. The Kids 3K follows a hill climb up the River Valley Alliance Trail and a downhill finish. The Kids 1K has free entry and allows same-day morning registration.
Logistics noted by the organizer include no on‑site parking with parking and shuttle service from John Maland High School, onsite packet pick-up for category entries, post-race food, and awards for the top three finishers in each gender/age/distance category which must be picked up at the event. Individual registration prices do not include event swag or finisher medals; sustainably sourced wooden medals made in Canada can be purchased during registration or onsite. The event is cup free so participants should carry their own receptacle. Course rules prohibit dogs, headphones, strollers or baby joggers, and nordic walking poles on course.
