Canmore #1 - 5 Peaks Trail Run
This event is part of the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series and takes place at the Canmore Nordic Centre. The venue offers a network of singletrack and double track trails with panoramic views of the Canadian Rockies. Distances are available for children and adults across multiple categories.

- 1 km Kids
- 3 km Kids
- 7.1 km Sport (run or hike)
- 16.1 km Enduro (run or hike)
- 22 km Grit (run)
The course uses lower and upper trail sections in looped formats and includes technical and flowy singletrack, hard hill climbs, and substantial elevation gain. The start and finish are located at the main stadium area with mountain views; a DJ is audible from nearby ridges.
Logistics note: packet pick up is offered at Strides Canmore and at the Canmore Nordic Centre. Parking is limited; carpooling and use of overflow parking near the Day Lodge are recommended. A Kananaskis Park Pass is required for parking at the venue; a shuttle from the Canmore Recreation Centre is available with pre-purchased passes and those shuttle riders do not require a park pass.
Safety and race operations: dogs, headphones, strollers or baby joggers, and nordic walking poles are not allowed on course. Sport, Enduro, and Grit participants must carry bear spray; children in the 1 km and 3 km races are not required to carry bear spray and additional volunteers will assist those courses. Washrooms are available at the start/finish area.
Event services: the event is cup-free; water and electrolyte drinks are available at the start/finish and at one or more aid stations, so participants who expect to be out longer than an hour should carry a receptacle. Finisher medals and event swag are not included with individual registration but can be pre-purchased or bought on site while supplies last. Optional sustainably sourced wooden finisher medals made in Canada are offered. Awards are given to the top three in each gender and age category per distance and to the top three overall; awards must be picked up at the race.
