July 2026

Experience a solo 42 mile race along the Great Glen Way from Fort Augustus to Inverness. This unsupported event features views of Loch Ness and 6000 feet of elevation. Runners finish with a final lap of the athletics track.

A 4.5-mile, 2500-foot hill race from Sligachan Hotel on Skye, held 11 July 2026, organised by Skye and Lochalsh Running Club. Windproof body cover is required and proceeds support Skye Mountain Rescue Team.

A backyard ultra at Murthly Castle Estate where runners repeat 4.167 mile loops with a one hour time limit until one runner remains. Medals are awarded to all nonwinners as DNFs and a 100 mile medal is given to those still running after 24..

August 2026

A 4½ mile hill race at the Newtonmore Highland Games with about 1200 feet of ascent, river crossings and a finish in the arena. Top course times are around 26:49 for men and 32:21 for women.

A women only ultramarathon along the River Tay Way in Perthshire, covering roughly 70 to 75 km from Loch Tay to Perth. The event welcomes trans men and non binary runners and offers team entries, full waymarking and generous cut offs.

A 10th anniversary trail ultra around the Loch Eck Loop on 22 Aug 2026. The solo race is 52.22 km with 983 m ascent and a three leg relay is available; the course is signposted with two checkpoints and finisher goodies.

A short hill race of about 3.5 miles with 700 feet of climb held as part of the Glenurquhart Highland Games in Drumnadrochit. Entry fee £10 and minimum age 17.
