January 2026

Kick off the New Year with the Aonach Mor Uphill at Nevis Range: a lung busting 4 km ascent gaining 610 m above Fort William. Entries are full but racers enjoy post race soup and the option of a warm gondola descent.

February 2026

Run the scenic Ardgartan Trail Race in Arrochar, a rugged loop of about 21 miles and 3500 ft of climbing past forests and waterfalls. Winter conditions and limited spots make mandatory kit and careful planning essential.

April 2026

Run the iconic West Highland Way from Tyndrum to Fort William in a 42 mile point to point trail ultramarathon through dramatic Highland scenery. 12 hour cutoff with staffed checkpoints and support make it a classic long distance test.

Enjoy the Hidden Glen 10K at Monachyle Mhor on April 26, a scenic tarmac to trail run along Loch Doine with some muddy, puddly sections so trail shoes are recommended. A 1K fun run and medals for all make this a great family day out.

May 2026

Ultra X Scotland is a multi day ultramarathon in the wild Scottish Highlands near Inverness on 2 to 3 May 2026. Choose from distances to 110 km in single day or two day formats and enjoy fully marked trails, camping and on course support.

Run the Glen Lyon Ultra on 6 June 2026, a scenic 31 mile trail around Loch Lyon and Glen Lochay with about 3,500 ft ascent. Mostly off road with river crossings that may leave your feet wet, this rugged course earns 2 UTMB points.

Tackle a scenic 15.5 mile off road loop around Loch Lyon, weaving through remote Perthshire hills and river crossings. With rugged terrain, a friendly atmosphere and limited places, this is a classic trail challenge for adventurous runners.

July 2026

Tackle a spectacular 170 mile long distance foot race from Milngavie to Inverness along the West Highland Way and Great Glen Way, 02 to 05 July 2026. With only 20 places this epic supported challenge finishes with prize giving in Inverness.

Run the Great Glen Ultra on 4 July 2026, a 72 mile route with about 8,500 ft ascent from Corpach to Inverness along the scenic Great Glen Way. Expect canal towpaths, forest tracks and Loch Ness views plus 4 UTMB points.

Run 42 miles along the high Great Glen Way from Fort Augustus to Inverness, finishing with a lap of the athletics track. This unsupported trail race offers dramatic Loch Ness views and drop bag checkpoints for solo runners.

August 2026
