Trail Running calendar near Townparks 2026-2027

The Galty Crossing will take place in Townparks on Saturday 6 June 2026. You can run 32 kilometers.

Take on Galtymore Uphill, a 6 km mountain race with 750 m of ascent in County Tipperary on 10 June 2026 as part of the Munster Uphill League. Expect tough terrain and mandatory kit, with volunteers helping keep the event safe and friendly.

Join the Coillte Trail League at historic Glenstall Abbey in County Limerick on Sunday 21 June 2026 for a scenic 12 km run on easy trails. Level B mandatory kit applies, with final instructions given at registration.

Take on Templehill, a scenic mountain run in County Limerick with a 627 m climb and fully marked route, GPS use allowed. Pick the 12.2 km summit route or the 4.9 km junior course through Combaun wood for a Munster Championship challenge.

Tackle Crotty's Lake on Comeragh Mountain on 25 July 2026 with an 8 km mountain run and 410 m of climb over technical, slippy trails. Limited route marking and great views make this a true mountain running challenge.

Join the Mount Melleray Trail for an 8 km forest run in County Waterford with challenging climbs and stunning views, part of the Coillte Summer and Autumn Trail League. Expect waymarking at main junctions and mandatory safety kit checks.

Take on the extreme Galtymore mountain race on Sunday 23 August 2026 in County Tipperary, a 13 km out and back to the summit with 1300 m of climb. Part of the Munster and Irish championships, this route rewards bold ridge runners.

Explore Glenanaar Forest on the Canon Sheehan Loop on Sunday 30 August 2026, with 10.5 km and 5 km options over a fully marked, moderately hilly trail. GPS friendly and part of the Munster Coillte Trail League; Level B kit required.

The Glen of Aherlow Trail Half-Marathon will take place in Ballycrehane on Saturday 26 September 2026. You can run 23 kilometers.

Garryduff Woods in Rochestown, County Cork offers a scenic but technical 6.5 km trail with climbs and single track. Part of the Munster trail league, Level B kit is required and parking is limited so arrive early.

The Galtee Challenge Duo Race will take place in Knocknagalty on Saturday 10 October 2026. You can run 26 kilometers.

The Halloween Spooky 5km will take place in Kilworth on Friday 30 October 2026. You can run 5 kilometers.
