Trail Running calendar near Picnic Bay 2026-2027

Four trail distances from 5 km to 42 km at Cape Pallarenda, featuring Mt Marlow, technical single track and coastal views. Race HQ is at Freemason’s Park with marked courses, aid stations, timing and support services.

Fourth and final run in the 10 km series at Walter Nesbit Park in Pallarenda. Trail and road routes include 5 km and 10 km options, with members free and non members paying $6.

Riverway Insomnia is a backyard ultra at Riverway Precinct, Townsville. Runners choose distance in the 100 km 24 hour or 42 km 10 hour formats, solo or in teams of 2 to 4.

A 52 km ultramarathon through the World Heritage Wet Tropics at Paluma with two manned aid stations and mandatory kit requirements.

Trail races of 6 km, 10 km and 20 km through World Heritage rainforest at Paluma Village, on technical wet trails with creek crossings and on-course support. Mandatory gear applies for the 10 km and 20 km distances.

A trail running event at Castle Hill on 28 February 2027 with three marked courses of 4.5 km, 9 km and 11.5 km, technical single track, rock scrambles and on course support including electronic timing and first aid.

Trail races at Alligator Creek in Bowling Green Bay National Park feature creek crossings, undulating trails and a prominent hill. Distances include 6 km, 12 km and 21 km on marked and marshalled courses with timing and on-course support.

A trail race on Magnetic Island on 22 May 2027 featuring technical single track and coastal views. Choose from 7 km, 12 km or 21 km courses that finish at the Arcadia Village Hotel with marshals, aid stations and timing.
