  • Double entry combining marathon and half marathon

Participant feedback included with the event listing reports steep and rolling hills, exposed and sometimes windy sections, and boggy or muddy trail underfoot in places. Reviews also highlight clear route marking, visible marshals and volunteers, and the presence of mountain rescue support at times. Several accounts mention strong scenic views across the Cheviots and post-event hospitality at the hostel, such as hot drinks and food.

The event listing notes a selection of walking and running routes around Wooler and confirms that routes are fully marked and supported. Reviews and ratings on the listing describe consistent organisation and volunteer support, and indicate that terrain and weather can make the courses demanding in places.
