This event is a Backyard Ultra held in Kilcornan Woods & Trails, Kilcornan, Co. Galway on Saturday 30th May 2026. The format is last-person-standing: runners complete a loop of about 6.7 km every hour and must be back at the start line for the next loop. The race continues until only one runner remains.

The loop is mostly woodland trails, grassy paths and gravel with approximate elevation gain of 20 m per loop. The route is fully marked and GPS devices are not allowed. Head torches and high visibility clothing are mandatory during darkness. The event follows Leave No Trace principles; bins and recycling are provided in the Walled Garden.

Required items include a waterproof jacket with taped seams, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, charged mobile phone with an emergency number, foil blanket or bivvy, waterproof full leg cover, means to carry at least 500 mL of water, emergency food, and a map and compass. Organisers may carry out random kit checks and may deny entry or disqualify runners without the required items.

Facilities include limited parking, basic onsite facilities such as a kettle, microwave and toaster, a coffee vendor with card accepted though cash is recommended, campervan parking and single-night camping in the Walled Garden. Prizes include vouchers and commemorative items; a 100-mile medal is awarded to anyone completing 24 loops or more. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
