Mandatory gear lists exist for each distance. Gear will be checked prior to race day for the 65 km, 128 km and 231 km events. Entrants in the 25 km event must sign a declaration confirming they carry required gear. The lists specify items such as wool thermals (not synthetic) and a seam-sealed jacket.
