West Macs Monster Trail Running Festival
The Ekistica West Macs Monster is an annual trail running festival that takes place on the Larapinta Trail within Tjoritja National Park in Central Australia. The event is typically held on the third weekend in May; the 2027 edition is scheduled for May 14 to 16. Distances offered span a wide range, from short community runs to multi-day ultra distances.

Ultra distance entrants must have an eligible qualifying run or a verified plan completed before April 30, 2027; training runs are not accepted as qualifiers. The event is listed with international trail organisations iTRA and UTMB. Volunteer registration opens on March 1, 2027.
The festival acknowledges and pays respect to the Traditional Owners of the country the Larapinta Trail passes through, naming the Western and Central Arrernte people and their ongoing connection to the land, sky and waters of the area.
