Trail Run Australia : Snowy Mountains (21–22 Feb 2026)

Trail Run Australia Snowy Mountains is a weekend trail running festival based at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa in the Snowy Mountains. The festival includes multiple race distances, aid stations, athlete support boxes and a cupless on-course policy; athletes must carry their own cup or hydration system. Courses use unsealed trails around Lake Jindabyne and through the Thredbo Valley, passing snow gum forests, mountain streams, alpine meadows and granite outcrops.

The event hosts the 2026 AUTRA National Short Course Trail Championship on the UTRA50 course. Championship eligibility requires Australian citizenship or permanent residency; AUTRA membership is optional. Compulsory equipment checks and random on-course checks apply for longer distances, and missing items can incur time penalties or disqualification. Support crew access is limited to designated locations and support boxes are transported to specified aid stations.

Race headquarters and finish are at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa. Bus transport to start locations is offered from the resort for selected courses. The event provides professional medical support at race headquarters and at staffed course checkpoints. Trail and park closures will apply during event times to manage safety and access within the host region.
