Tiger Claw, Issaquah WA

Tiger Claw is a trail running event held at Tiger Mountain near the Issaquah Community Center in Issaquah, WA. The course uses rugged Pacific Northwest terrain with steep uphills and focused downhills. Runners choose from multiple ascent loops that share a common descent and use timing devices to verify completion of each required loop.

The event offers a vertical Ascent race that climbs the Cable Line route to the summit of West Tiger 2, followed by an untimed 3 mile descent to the trailhead. The 50k course covers about 31 miles with roughly 8500 feet of elevation gain. A Double format completes the full course twice, totaling about 50 miles and nearly 17,000 feet of elevation gain. A new Ambush relay features three person teams that split to run the three different ascents and regroup at the lower aid station; team time is recorded when the last member finishes.

Two aid stations, Base Camp and High Camp, provide drinks and basic race foods. There will not be cups; runners must carry at least one water bottle for refill from pitchers or use a collapsible race cup. The event lists equal podium prizing for Men, Women and Non-Binary categories. Registration closes May 5 at 11:59 PM PT. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
