Tiger Claw
Issaquah, United States • 8-9 May 2026
Event Overview
Tiger Claw is a trail running event held on Tiger Mountain in Issaquah, Washington. It takes place over a weekend in early May and offers several race formats.
Available Races
Participants can choose from multiple options:
- Tiger Claw 50k: A 31-mile trail run with approximately 8500 feet of elevation gain on rugged Pacific Northwest terrain. Runners complete three different climbs in any order, with one common descent.
- Tiger Claw Ascent: A 2.5-mile vertical climb with 2500 feet of elevation gain via the Cable Line route to the summit of West Tiger 2. After finishing, runners descend 3 miles back to the trailhead untimed.
- Tiger Claw Big Cat: This option includes registration for both the Ascent and the 50k races.
- Tiger Claw Ambush: A relay for teams of three. Each member runs a different loop: white (10.5 miles), pink (12.5 miles), or yellow (13.5 miles). Teams start together, split to run loops separately, then reunite to finish.
Course Details
The 50k course involves steep uphills and downhills, with runners selecting the sequence of three climbs of varying length and difficulty. A 50-mile "Double" version is occasionally available, requiring completion of the course twice in opposite directions.
Aid and Logistics
Two aid stations, Base Camp and High Camp, provide drinks and snacks. To minimize waste, no cups are available; runners must carry at least one water bottle. The event features equal podium prizing for men, women, and non-binary participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
