Tiger Claw
Issaquah, United States • 8-9 May 2026
Event Details
The Tiger Claw takes place on May 8-9, 2026, starting and finishing at the Issaquah Community Center in Issaquah, Washington. The event features several trail running challenges on Tiger Mountain. Participants can choose from four main events.
The Challenges
The 50k is the main event, covering approximately 50 kilometers (31 miles) with about 8500 feet of elevation gain on rugged Pacific Northwest terrain. The course involves three distinct climbs of varying length and difficulty, and one common descent. Participants choose the order in which they complete these loops, using a unique timing device to track their progress.
The Ascent is a vertical race on the steep and technical Cable Line route to the summit of West Tiger 2. This climb covers 2.5 miles with 2500 feet of elevation gain. After reaching the timed finish at the summit, runners can hike or run back down an untimed 3-mile descent to the trailhead.
The Big Cat is a combination entry, registering a participant for both the Ascent and the 50k events to be completed over the weekend.
The Ambush is a new relay event for 2026. Teams of three start together on the 50k course, then split up to each run one of the three different ascent loops separately. The loops are 10.5 miles (white), 12.5 miles (pink), and 13.5 miles (yellow). After descending, team members must regroup at a lower aid station before running to the finish together. The team's time is based on the last member to finish.
