The Winter Wipeout! is a deep winter fell run held on Saturday 10 January 2026. The route goes to the summit of Hedgehope and returns to the start at Ingram Cafe (NE66 4LT). The organiser describes the distance as a half marathon (approx.). The event is Race 3 of the Shadowlands Race Series and is organised by Cold Brew Events Ltd. Course, conditions and support
The route is fully marked and lined with marshals. The organiser warns that the event takes place in deep winter and entrants should be prepared for sleet, snow, strong winds and wet conditions. Carrying required winter kit is stated as essential. Hot soup will be provided at the finish.
Entries and rules
Entries opened 16 January 2025 and close 5 January 2026. Minimum age is 17 on the event date. Entry fees listed are: UKA members £35 (rising to £45 from 1 December 2025) and non-members £37 (rising to £47 from 1 December 2025), plus a booking fee.
