The Winter Wipeout!

The Winter Wipeout! is a deep winter fell run held on January 9, 2027, with the event base at Ingram Cafe, NE66 4LT. The route goes to the summit of Hedgehope and returns, covering approximately a half marathon distance. This event is Race 3 of the Shadowlands Series.

The course is fully marked and staffed with marshals. It takes place in winter conditions and participants should be prepared for variable weather. Previous editions have included sleet, snow, strong winds and occasional water on the route. Carrying the required winter kit is essential.

Entries open on January 21, 2026 and close on January 7, 2027. The minimum age is 17 on the event date. Entry fees are shown as UKA member £35 rising to £45 from November 30, 2026, and non member £37 rising to £47 from November 30, 2026; a booking fee also applies. Entry requires a SiEntries account.

The event is organised by Cold Brew Events Ltd and is subject to TRA and UKA rules. A warming soup is provided at the finish. Trail runs nearby

A 10 mile night trail run across the Simonside Hills near Rothbury on Saturday 7 February 2026. The event uses hilly, forested trails; headtorches are required and all entrants receive an event buff.

A day of trail running and recovery at Doxford Farm with 5K and 10K options, yoga, saunas and ice baths, shoe demos, and onsite food and drink. Tickets start from £15.
