- 5K
The 6 hour and 12 hour races use a marked 3.3 mile loop with about 60 feet of elevation gain. The loop surface is a mix of approximately 60 percent asphalt and 40 percent gravel, with some shaded sections on the gravel county road. The course is not closed to traffic; signage will be used to alert vehicles and participants should stay aware of surroundings. The 5K starts off the track for safety, follows a single loop, and finishes on the track.
Runners in the timed events complete as many full loops as possible in their allotted time; only complete loops count. Ties are broken by the fastest last loop.
Aid and event services include one fully stocked aid station at the start and finish, plus an on-course station with water, sports drink and ice providing roughly cold water every 1.6 miles. Food served during the day includes barbecue, quesadillas, watermelon and event hot dogs. Awards are given to first through third place male and female in each event. All finishers receive a medal on a lanyard and a t-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
