Sweat Hot Oklahoma Summer Trials : July 25, 2026
Sweat Hot Oklahoma Summer Trials is the fifth and final edition of a multi distance running event held in Nowata, Oklahoma at 707 W Osage Ave. The event centers on time based endurance racing on a looped course and also includes a separate 5K that finishes on the track.
- 12 hour
- 6 hour
- 5K
The 6 hour and 12 hour competitions use a 3.3 mile loop that is approximately 60 feet of elevation gain per loop and consists of about 60 percent asphalt and 40 percent gravel on a county road. There is some shade on the course. The course is not closed to traffic and signage will be used to alert vehicles; runners must pay attention to surroundings.
There is one fully stocked aid station at the start and finish plus one water, sports drink and ice station on course, providing access to cold water at roughly 1.6 mile intervals. Food items served on site include fresh barbecue, quesadillas, watermelon and event hot dogs. The 5K starts off the track for safety and completes a single loop before finishing on the track.
Awards are given for first through third place male and female in each event. All finishers receive a finisher medal on a lanyard and a t shirt. In the time based events only complete loops count; the competitor with the most complete loops wins and ties are broken by the fastest final loop.
