Sweat Hot Oklahoma Summer Trials - July 25, 2026
The Sweat Hot Oklahoma Summer Trials is a time-based running event held in Nowata, Oklahoma. The event is the fifth and final edition and offers runners a choice of time-based events and a shorter 5K option.
Distances and formats:
- 12 hour timed run
- 6 hour timed run
- 5K single loop on the track
Awards and finisher items are provided. First, second and third place male and female finishers in each event receive custom awards. All finishers receive a medal on a lanyard and a t-shirt.
Aid and services on course include one fully stocked aid station at the start/finish plus one water, sports drink and ice station on the loop. Cold water is available approximately every 1.6 miles. Food such as fresh barbecue, quesadillas, watermelon and other items are available throughout the day.
Course details and safety: The 6 and 12 hour events use a 3.3 mile loop with roughly 60 feet of elevation gain. Surface is a mix of about 60% asphalt and 40% gravel on a county road, with some shaded sections. The course is not closed to traffic; signage will alert vehicles and runners must remain aware of their surroundings. 5K runners start separate from the timed-loop traffic and complete a single loop that finishes on the track.
Competition rules note that only complete loops count toward totals and ties are broken by the fastest final loop. Registration closes on July 18. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
