Stromlo Running Festival

The Stromlo Running Festival is a two-day trail running event held at Stromlo Forest Park, Canberra, on 14–15 November 2026. It offers multiple courses across natural trails and facilities at the purpose-built park, and the event is ITRA/UTMB indexed.

The program includes the following distances:

  • 2.5 km kids run
  • 5 km
  • 10 km
  • 15 km
  • 30 km
  • 42.2 km marathon

Bibs are pick-up only and may be collected on behalf of another person. Pre-event collection is available at the Canberra and Region Visitor Information Centre, and collection is also provided at the Stromlo Forest Park Event Hub before and during the event. Stromlo Forest Park provides on-site parking with 487 paid spaces and a free 15 minute drop-off zone.

The festival describes itself as family friendly and community focused. The event highlights a local history tied to the 2003 Canberra bushfires and emphasises community strength and resilience. The University of Canberra provides a Recovery Hub on event day staffed by physiotherapy students under supervision to offer free post-event support. The festival notes there will be no prize presentations on the day and that runners must compete in their registered start wave; starting outside an allocated wave affects award eligibility and official results.
