Slievenamon is a mountain running event in County Tipperary held on Sunday 10 May 2026. The main course covers 9.97 km with a climb of 580 m; there is also a short course and a junior selection race used for national team selection.

The event is part of the Munster Championship. Route marking is limited to only major junctions. GPS devices are permitted. The event difficulty is listed as 8 (3,3,2) indicating difficult terrain, over 500 m ascent and a course length in the 6–10 km band.

Mandatory Level B kit must be carried and includes a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, a whistle, a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket or bivvy bag or equivalent. Organisers may finalise the kit to be carried on the day and random checks may be carried out. Failure to have the required items may lead to denied entry or disqualification.

A marked mountain run on Tory Hill in County Kilkenny on 9 May 2026, with a main 7.8 km route and a 5.0 km junior course. Terrain includes woods, trails and fire roads and a showerproof jacket is mandatory.

An uphill mountain race on 13 May 2026 from Bay Lough car park to the summit of Knockmealdown, about 4.5 km with 536 m ascent. The unmarked route on open rough terrain is part of the Munster Uphill League and requires Level B kit.

An uphill mountain race on Slievenamon in County Tipperary on 27 May 2026 covering 4.00 km with 576 m of climb. Mandatory Level B kit is required; entries open 25 May with a 250-person limit.

Galty Crossing is a 32.0 km mountain running event in County Tipperary with about 1500 m of ascent and an extreme difficulty rating; the route is unmarked, GPS use is allowed, and Level C mandatory kit is required.
