Course

The 4 Mile follows one loop of the 2015 course; the 8 Mile runs two loops of the same route. The route begins on wider, flat trail sections that allow runners to spread out, then passes a row of cedars and a creek bottom. The trail crosses a creek on a small wooden bridge, includes a slight uphill section, and continues through woody areas and long rows of cedars. Parts of the course are technical single-track; other sections are wider grass and dirt trails that wind through pastures and woodlands.
