Raven Rocks Run
Cross River, United States • 8 Nov 2026
Event Overview
The Raven Rocks Run is a trail running event held at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in Cross River, New York. The event features two distinct activities: a 10-kilometer race and a month-long virtual challenge.
The 10k trail race takes place on a single day. The course includes trails with hills, rocky climbs, ridgelines, meadows, and ravines. It passes the site of the former Cross River Mountain Fire Tower, which is currently under reconstruction. A water stop is located near the 4-mile mark.
Alongside the race, the Raven 100k Challenge is a virtual event where participants aim to walk, hike, or run a total of 100 kilometers during the month of November. Those who complete the distance and report their results can earn a custom finisher's woodallion (a laser-engraved wooden medallion). Additional badges can be earned for specific achievements.
The event supports the Friends of Trailside Museum and Ward Pound Ridge Reservation. Participants have the option to join this group during registration. The event is also part of a larger series of local trail races called the Trail Mix Series.
Practical Information
The race utilizes volunteer support for tasks like registration, course marking, timing, and safety. The Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps provides standby medical support. Participants are encouraged to arrive early on race day for parking and bib pickup. Parking is available in the Meadow Parking lot.
