Raven Rocks Run

Cross River, United States • 8 Nov 2026

Event overview

The Raven Rocks Run is a trail 10k held at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in Cross River, NY. The course includes rocky climbs, ridgeline trails, hilly meadows, ravines, and the site of the former fire tower. The 10k is the final race in the Trail Mix series. The 2025 course was the same as 2024 with one minor reroute around a fire tower construction site. Course materials and a map are maintained by the organizers.

2025 race, results, and the November challenge

The tenth annual Raven Rocks Run took place on November 9, 2025. The race had 264 finishers and was supported by a crew of about 40 volunteers. There was a water stop at the 4 mile mark, located at the top of the fire tower climb, the highest point on the course. Photographs and full results from 2025 were posted online.

A separate virtual event, the Raven 100k November Challenge, ran from November 1 to November 30, 2025. The challenge required participants to walk, hike, or run 100k during November and log distances on the official event results site. Finishers who reported the required distance were eligible to receive a custom finisher woodallion and to claim achievement badges. The organizers recorded program metrics, membership donations for the Friends of Trailside Museum and Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, and ongoing fire tower restoration activity at the park.
