Raven Rocks Run

Raven Rocks Run is an annual trail event at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in Cross River, NY. The event centers on a marked trail course that includes rocky climbs, ridgeline singletrack, hilly meadows, ravines, and the site of a former fire tower. The course has a water stop located near the highest point on the route at the top of the fire tower climb.

The event program includes two main offerings:

  • 10k trail race on the reservation course.
  • 100k Raven November virtual challenge run, walk, or hike logged during November.

Results and participant photos are published after the event and a group of volunteer photographers documents the race. The Raven 100k November virtual challenge requires participants to log distances on the event results platform and to submit badge claims; qualifying participants receive a custom finisher woodallion engraved with name and distance. The race is supported by a volunteer team that handles course marking, logistics, timing, and safety, and the event raises funds for the Friends of Trailside Museum and Ward Pound Ridge Reservation. Raven Rocks Run is the final race in the Trail Mix series of regional trail races. Historic notes and course maps are available through the event information pages and results postings.
