Event overview

The RAF Spadeadam Blue Streak Trail Run takes place at Raf Spadeadam on Saturday 25 April 2026. The route passes launch platforms, military equipment and practice targets from the site's history as a Blue Streak rocket test centre. The course also provides views over the Lake District, Hadrian's Wall and Spadeadam Forest. The event is held on an active RAF station; spectators will not be able to access the station.

    • 11 km The distances are approximate to ensure the route captures as many sites as possible. Minimum age for both courses is 16 on the event date. Entries open 26 August 2025 and close 23 April 2026. Entry fees listed are £32.00 for the 14 mile and £26.00 for the 11 km. Entries so far: 27 participants.

Each finisher will receive a medal and additional items. All profits will be donated to the RAF Benevolent Fund. The event organiser is listed as RAF Benevolent Fund Charity. Trail runs nearby

Run into the night on an unmarked rough route to Chapelfell Top in the Silent Night Race. This 6.6 km out and back with 370 m of climb requires navigation, strict kit and pre entry, making it a real test for experienced fell runners.

Take on a classic Lake District fell around Latrigg on a flagged 8 km / 5 miles course with 460 m of climb and stunning views. Starts and finishes at Fitz Park Pavilion, Keswick, and pre entry via SiEntries is required.

Run a moonlit 15 km through Kielder Forest, climbing to the summit of Deadwater Fell before returning along forest tracks and mountain bike trails. This night race opens the Shadowlands Race Series with night prizes and series points.

Take on the Osprey Trail Run under the stars in Kielder Forest, a 22 km night trail across forest tracks and mountain bike trails. Race 2 of the Shadowlands series offers scenic, challenging off road running with prizes on the night.
