Pronghorn Pursuit Trail Run

The Pronghorn Pursuit Trail Run takes place in Dillon, Montana on June 6, 2026. Organized by the Beaverhead Trails Coalition with support from the Beaverhead County High School cross country team, this is the sixth annual running of the event held on the High Trails near Dillon. The race start will move to the new West Trailhead in 2026 and course maps will be updated when available.

Events include:

• 5k Trail Run
• Kid's 5k (Ages 10 and under)
• 15k Trail Run
• Fun Run/Walk 1 Mile

All courses are exclusively off pavement and run through sagebrush hills of the High Trails System with views of the Beaverhead River Valley. The 15k course features about 90 percent single track and approximately 2400 feet of climbing, with a mix of steep climbs, technical descents and sections of fast, flowing single track. The 5k uses similar terrain at a smaller scale, including steeper sections climbing more than 500 feet and a final kilometer that is downhill.

T shirts are not included with pre registration but are available as an add on during registration. T shirts paid for before May 20 will be available for pickup at the race; later purchases can be picked up at Big Tyme in Dillon or shipped for a fee. Food and awards follow the races at the Trailhead. Races are chip timed by Butte Track Club. Spectators pay five dollars. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
