The course surface is primarily runnable and includes crushed stone trail, grass and a dirt road. Eco Park is a private facility; the course is not open for pre-race access and will be set up on race day. The event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario and affiliated with the Big Dog's Backyard Ultra format. This edition is a Silver Ticket event, granting the winner automatic entry to the World Team Championship.

The field is capped at 67 participants and there will be no waitlist. Each runner may start with two crew members; spectators are not permitted. Race rules require bibs to be visible on the front of the body. Medical staff will be on site and may withdraw runners for safety reasons. Participants must bring their own food and nonpotable water; limited hydration options and some access to electricity and a BBQ will be available. Headlamps are required after dark.

There is no official timing; completion is determined by returning to the start area within the hour. A portion of registration fees will be donated to the Children's Health Foundation.
