The courses use Bussey Brake WMA trails. An 8 mile trail follows the top of the reservoir levee and is described as very flat with occasional holes and large ant piles. Portions of the course are exposed to sun on the front side and shaded on the back side.

Two aid stations are provided. A fully manned station is located at the start and finish and includes hot food. An on-course station around four miles offers ice, water, electrolytes, and snacks. Race day food items listed include peanut butter and jelly, chips, cookies, quesadillas, grilled cheese, pickles, candy, crackers, potatoes, gummies, soda, water, ice, and electrolytes. Vegan options are noted and the finish meal is to be determined.

All finishers receive a medal. Top three male and female finishers receive a custom plaque. Swag includes a T shirt, headbands, and a runner light. The event is in its third year. Registration closes November 20 at 11:59 PM CT and listed fees range from $67.65 to $103.19 USD.
