Palacerigg Trail 10k is a trail running event at Palacerigg Country Park, Cumbernauld. Route and safety

The route is described as an undulating trail around Palacerigg Country Park, Forrest Wood and Glencryan, using single track and forest paths. Trail shoes are advised, or any footwear participants do not mind getting muddy. Qualified first aiders will be on site and a tail walker will be present to help participants who need support. If a participant retires, they are asked to notify event staff.

Entry, logistics and facilities

Pre-entry is preferred. Race numbers will not be posted in advance but will be available for collection on the day at the Palacerigg Visitor Centre. The entry fee is £18 and includes a shuttle bus from Greenfaulds Station and a goodie bag with a memento; a £2 discount is available for Scottish Athletics members. Early discounted entry of £16 is shown until 24 May 2026. Limited edition T-shirts and hoodies are available by pre-order by 3 May; a contribution from these sales will go to the charity. Entries may be amended, transferred or deferred until 31 May 2026. Car parking at the park is limited; a shuttle bus and car sharing are encouraged. Bag storage is available at the Golf Club Cafe but is not supervised. Toilets are on site.

The EpicTrails - Guided Run will take place in Mugdock on Thursday 5 February 2026. You can run 6 kilometers.

Trailspire Ultra returns to Callander Park, Falkirk with a redesigned loop for a six hour endurance challenge. Run solo or as a two person team and rack up as many 4.14 mile laps as you can on a fully marked marshalled course.

A 5 km, 10 km and half marathon at Glasgow Green supporting Shelter, run on a mostly flat path course with one trail section. Chip timing, finisher medals and instant results via Results Base are provided.

Two trail races take place in Devilla Forest with revised 15k and scenic 5k routes starting and finishing at the Scottish Police College. Both events are fully waymarked and chip timed with on-site facilities and pre-entry only.
