Palacerigg Trail 10K

Palacerigg Trail 10k takes place on 07 June 2026 at Palacerigg Country Park in Cumbernauld and marks its third year. The event will raise funds for Freedom City Foundation, a local charity that provides a foodbank and tailored support services in the Cumbernauld area.

The route is an undulating trail around the landscapes of Palacerigg Country Park, Forrest Wood and Glencryan, and includes both single-track and forest paths. Trail shoes are advised; any footwear that can get muddy is acceptable. The course distance is approximately 10k. There is no time limit and tail walkers will follow the field.

Entry is by pre-entry whenever possible. Race numbers are not sent out in advance but will be available for collection on the day. Entry fee is £18 and includes a shuttle bus from Greenfaulds Station and a goodie bag with a one-of-a-kind memento; a £2 discount is available for Scottish Athletics members. Limited edition T-shirts and hoodies are available for pre-order by 3 May, with a contribution from sales going to the charity. Entries may be amended, transferred or deferred until 31/05/2026.

On-site facilities include toilets and bag storage at the Golf Club Cafe; bag storage is not supervised. Car parking at the park is limited and a shuttle bus will be provided. Qualified first aiders and a tail walker will be on site. The event holds Scottish Athletics licence ES014673 and has 220 places. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
