About the race
Nice Côte d’Azur by UTMB is a trail running event held in the south of France, transitioning from mountainous terrain to the Mediterranean coast. This international event forms part of the UTMB World Series and takes place at the end of the summer season. The competition offers five distinct race options with varying distances and elevations to accommodate different athletic goals.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 165 km (100M category) with 8900 m elevation gain
- 109 km (100K category) with 5400 m elevation gain
- 50 km (50K category) starting in Eze with 2000 m elevation gain
- 39 km (50K category) starting in Levens with 1388 m elevation gain
- 23 km (20K category) starting in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat with 680 m elevation gain
The routes connect several locations within the Nice Côte d’Azur metropolis, including Roubion, Levens, Eze, and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, with various courses concluding in Nice. Runners can earn Running Stones by completing these races, which contribute toward qualification for the UTMB World Series Finals.
