Marin Ultra Challenge
The Marin Ultra Challenge is a trail ultramarathon held on Saturday, March 13, 2027 in Sausalito, California. Courses run through the Marin Headlands, Muir Woods, and Mt. Tamalpais State Park, beginning on the black sand at Rodeo Beach and passing coastal fire roads and technical single track beneath redwood canopies.

The 50 Mile course includes about 11,000 feet of elevation gain. Course routing minimizes overlap and exposes runners to a range of terrain and viewpoints. Timing and aid station tracking will be provided by ultralive.net, with a small timing fee added to entries. The event capacity is 500 runners.
Aid stations supply energy gels, chews, snacks, soda, water, mixed Skratch Hydration, basic first aid items, and other common ultrarunning foods; note that GGNRA rules prohibit Gu gels at Conzuleman, Tennesse Valley, Muir Beach, and Willow Camp. Runners are encouraged to carry at least one 20 ounce bottle. Drop bags are available at Tennessee Valley aid station (Mile 10.5) and Cardiac aid station (Miles 19.8 and 29.3), with the 50 Mile passing those stations multiple times.
Time limits are 14 hours for the 50 Mile and 10 hours for the 50K. Awards include cash prizes for the top three 50 Mile finishers and medals, trophies, and event gear for finishers and place winners.
