Malvern Midsummer Marathon

Great Malvern, United Kingdom • 20 Jun 2026

Event Overview

The Malvern Midsummer Marathon is a walking and running event on Saturday, June 20, 2026, organized by the LDWA - Heart of England. The event takes place on the Malvern Hills, starting and finishing at Colwall Village Hall in Malvern.

Distances and Routes

Participants can choose between two distances:

  • A 27-mile route that covers all of the Malvern Hills, with approximately 5,000 feet of ascent.
  • A 15-mile route that includes the End Hills to Black Hill, described as having "plenty of climb but not quite as much."

The routes are the same as the 2025 event. Both routes are walked clockwise, sharing a common first half before the longer route continues. The terrain is on tracks and paths.

Schedule and Facilities

There are staggered starts for walkers and runners on each distance. Checkpoints along the routes provide a variety of snacks and drinks. A hot meal and pudding are available at the finish. Participants are asked to bring their own mug, as none will be provided at checkpoints or the finish. Certificates and badges will be presented to all who complete the event.

Practical Information

The event hall must be cleared by 20:30. Entry fees are lower for LDWA members. Dogs are not permitted on the challenge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
