Malvern Midsummer Marathon

The Malvern Midsummer Marathon takes place on 20 June 2026, centred on Colwall Village Hall, Mill Ln, Malvern WR13 6EQ. The event is organised by LDWA Heart Of England and uses routes that are the same as in 2025.

Distances

  • 27 miles
  • 15 miles

Both routes use tracks and paths across the Malvern Hills and nearby villages. The 27 mile route covers all of the Malvern Hills with approximately 5000 ft of ascent and includes four checkpoints. The 15 mile route reaches Black Hill and includes two checkpoints, with substantial climbing but less overall ascent. Cradley, Mathon, Colwall and Evendine appear on both routes. Oyster Hill, Ledbury and Bromsberrow are on the longer route. The main ridge from British Camp after the northern Malverns is shared between the routes.

Checkpoints provide a variety of snacks and drinks. A hot meal and pudding are available at the finish. No mugs are provided at checkpoints or the finish. Certificates and badges are presented to all participants who return to the event headquarters. Dogs are not permitted on the challenge.

Entries opened on 31 October 2025 and closed on 14 June 2026. Entry numbers reported were 220 participants with 7 on the waiting list. Entry fees were £18 for LDWA members and £26 for non members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
