The Malvern Midsummer Marathon, organized by the Heart of England branch of the LDWA, takes place in the Malvern Hills. The event headquarters is located at Colwall Village Hall. This challenge event offers participants the choice between two circular routes that follow tracks and paths through the local landscape.

Course Details

The 27 mile route encompasses the entirety of the Malvern Hills, featuring approximately 5,000 feet of total ascent. This longer course passes through Cradley, Mathon, Colwall, Evendine, Oyster Hill, Ledbury, and Bromsberrow. It utilizes four checkpoints along the way.

The 15 mile route shares several sections with the longer course, including Cradley, Mathon, Colwall, and Evendine. This route travels from End Hills to Black Hill and includes two checkpoints. Both routes follow a clockwise direction and share the main ridge from British Camp after the northern Malverns.

Amenities and Requirements

Checkpoints are stocked with a variety of snacks and drinks. A hot meal and pudding are provided at the finish for all participants. Individuals must bring their own mug as none will be provided at the checkpoints or the finish. All participants who return to the headquarters receive certificates and badges.
