Malvern Midsummer Marathon, Saturday 20 June 2026

The Malvern Midsummer Marathon is an organized walking and running event based at Colwall Village Hall, Mill Ln, Malvern WR13 6EQ. The event is organized by LDWA - Heart Of England and offers two route distances on tracks and paths across the Malvern Hills.

Distances:

  • 27 miles around the Malvern Hills; about 5000 ft ascent, tracks and paths.

Both routes share a common first half and pass through Cradley, Mathon, Colwall and Evendine. The longer route also visits Oyster Hill, Ledbury and Bromsberrow and follows the main ridge from British Camp after the northern Malverns. The 27 mile route includes four checkpoints; the 15 mile route includes two checkpoints. Checkpoints provide a variety of snacks and drinks. A hot meal and pudding are provided at the end of the event. No mugs are provided at checkpoints or the finish, so participants should bring their own.

Certificates and badges are presented to all who return to the event HQ. No dogs are allowed on the challenge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
