Lost Soul Ultra : September 11 and 12, 2026

The event takes place in the Oldman River valley of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. Organizers acknowledge that the lands are those of the Blackfoot people and are shared with the Cree and Metis. The trails run near one of the last big battles between the Blackfoot and Cree.

One lap is 50 km with approximately 1,250 m (4,500') of elevation change. Most hills are 50–80 m (150–250') and there are about 14 of those in a single lap.

Race distances:

  • 100 Mile : three laps plus an extra 9 km loop, 33-hour cutoff
  • 100 km : two laps (102 km), 21-hour cutoff
  • 50 km : one lap, 11-hour cutoff

The 100 mile and 100 km events are qualifying races for the Western States Endurance Run. Entrants must be at least 18 years of age on race day. Finishers receive a large etched rock.

Partial credit policy for withdrawals: Nov 1 to Feb 27 100% credit; Mar 1 90%; Apr 1 80%; May 1 70%; Jun 1 60%; Jul 1 50%; Aug 1 30%; Aug 11 to Sep 9 a $50 credit is offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Trail runs nearby

A 20-mile trail run in the coulees of Lethbridge on June 6, 2026, open to solo runners and teams up to five. The hilly route has little shade and water at transition points.

A two hour in person fitness challenge at Legacy Park in Lethbridge that places adults, children and K9 on a military style course. Organized by Zulu Challenge with tickets from CAD 57.31 to 107.64 and a no refunds policy.
