- The 100k course starts with a shuttle to the fairgrounds, so the first runner covers extra distance. Relay teams must run full 10-mile laps; each team member must complete an entire lap before swapping the team bracelet baton.
- Pacers: one pacer at a time allowed for a runner's last two laps; runners 60+ may have a pacer for the last three laps. Pacers must register and wear a pacer bib.
- No crew on course. Training runs on the course are allowed; bright clothing is advised during hunting season.
- Facilities and services include cabin lodging and primitive camping nearby, post-race food and awards, finisher belt buckles for 100k finishers, and finisher medals for other distances. GPX files and guide materials are provided.
