The 50 Mile course follows approximately 37 miles of technical single track, 13 miles of primitive or double-track jeep road, and about 1 mile of maintained Forest Service road. The course lists roughly 13,400 feet of elevation gain and a maximum elevation just under 9,000 feet. Runners will encounter rocky trails, forests, meadows, creek crossings, a historic ghost town and lake, and limited vehicle access. There are 8 aid stations; the longest gap between aid stations is 7 miles. Wildlife sightings are possible.
The 50K course includes about 27 miles of technical single track and 3 miles of primitive jeep road, with about 7,900 feet of elevation gain and a maximum elevation near 8,000 feet. The course has 5 aid stations and a longest aid gap of 8 miles.
The 13.1 Mile course is entirely technical single track with several creek crossings, roughly 3,300 feet of elevation gain and a maximum elevation near 7,200 feet. There are 2 aid stations and a longest aid gap of 6 miles.
All races start and finish at the Willard Creek Trailhead at the end of Forest Service Road 4014; camping is possible at the trailhead. Packet pickup is Friday, July 31, 2026 at the Montana City Volunteer Fire Department (1192 Highway 282) with course briefings the same day.
