Event Overview
The Hume and Hovell Ultra takes place on sections of the Hume and Hovell Walking Track. The route follows a historic path taken by explorers Hamilton Hume and William Hovell on their 1824 expedition. The event is community-based.

The event takes place at the Henry Angel Trackhead in Tumbarumba, New South Wales. Race weekend is scheduled for October 10-11, 2026.

Distances offered during the weekend include:
- 11km
- 22km
- 50km
- 100km (individual and relay formats)
Course Details
Runners pass through native bushland and mountains along Burra Creek. Each distance has a different course profile.
- The 11km race is described as a great first trail race and is family-friendly. It has no cutoff time and consists of 70% singletrack with 150m of elevation gain and loss.
- The 22km race has an 8-hour cutoff, two aid stations, 70% singletrack, and 700m of elevation gain and 600m of loss.
- The 50km race has a 10-hour cutoff, five aid stations, 90% singletrack, and 1490m of elevation gain and loss.
- The 100km races (both individual and relay) have a 24-hour cutoff, ten aid stations, 94% singletrack, and 2500m of elevation gain and loss.
