Grampians Peaks Trail 100 Miler
The Grampians Peaks Trail 100 Miler is one of several events held along the Grampians Peaks Trail in Gariwerd, the Grampians National Park. The full trail measures 162 km with about 7,700 m of total elevation, running from Mt Zero in the north to Dunkeld in the south. Much of the route goes through rugged and varied terrain and remote wilderness areas. The trail is divided into four main chunks, each with major aid stations, and much of the marked trail is rocky.
The event basecamp and headquarters are in the central township of Halls Gap in Victoria, about 260 km northwest of Melbourne. The GPT100 Miler is presented by ASICS, has Visit Victoria as a major partner, and is delivered by SingleTrack Events. The race is part of the World Trail Majors series.
Race formats and shorter options are offered at the same event and include:
- GPT100 Miler solo or pairs covering the full trail
- GPT100 Stage Race run over four days
- GPT100 Miler team relay teams of four
- GPT100 Stage Race team relay teams of three
- GPT50K northern section Mount Zero to Halls Gap
- GPT33 final day section including Mt Abrupt, Signal Peak, Mount Sturgeon
- Dunkeld Trail Races Dunkeld 2k junior and Dunkeld 5k family trail
Finishers of the 2026 GPT100 Miler solo or pairs will be eligible to enter the Hardrock 100 lottery for 2027 and 2028. The organisers acknowledge the Grampians National Park as part of the Gariwerd Aboriginal cultural landscape and recognise Traditional Owners.
