Goyt Valley Challenge is an endurance walk/run organized by High Peak LDWA, starting and finishing at Buxton Community School in Buxton, Derbyshire. Entrants choose between two routes: a long 26.2-mile course and a short 14.3-mile option, both tracing the Western Peak District with sights such as Axe Edge, Goyt Valley, Shining Tor, Lamaload Reservoir, Kettleshulme, Taxal Moor and Fernilee Dam. Total ascent is about 4000 ft on the long route and 2000 ft on the short. The event uses Fabian4 timing, with limited water at Checkpoint 1, a hot meal at the finish, and optional commemorative items. No dogs; under-18 policy with supervision; parking at the college.
