The Goyt Valley Challenge is set to take place on Saturday, October 5th, 2024, starting and finishing at Buxton Community School in Derbyshire. Participants can choose between a long 26.2-mile route or a shorter 14.3-mile route, both offering stunning views of the Western Peak District. The long route includes challenging terrains like Axe Edge, Goyt Valley, and Shining Tor, with a total ascent of 4000ft, while the shorter route covers similar areas with 2000ft of ascent. The event welcomes under 18s accompanied by a responsible adult and provides refreshments at checkpoints and a hot meal at the finish.
