Goyt Valley Challenge

The Goyt Valley Challenge is a scenic running and walking event held in the western Peak District, starting and finishing at Buxton Community School in Derbyshire. Participants can choose between two routes: a long 26.2-mile course with 4,000 feet of ascent passing through landmarks such as Axe Edge, Goyt Valley, Shining Tor, Lamaload Reservoir, Kettleshulme, Taxal Moor, and Fernilee Dam, or a shorter 14.3-mile route with 2,000 feet of ascent covering Axe Edge, Goyt Valley, and Fernilee Dam.
