Gornergrat Zermatt Marathon
The Gornergrat Zermatt Marathon is a high-altitude running event held in the Swiss Alps. The course leads from St. Niklaus up to the Gornergrat, offering views of the surrounding mountain scenery including the Matterhorn. The event provides multiple distance options for different types of runners:

Participants who pay the entry fee receive the Swiss Runners Ticket, which allows for free travel on public transport within Switzerland for up to seven days before and after the competition. For supporters, a special spectator ticket is available for purchase at the race office in St. Niklaus or the information stand in Zermatt. This ticket allows travel between St. Niklaus and Gornergrat on the day of the race.
The event features various service areas, including several aid stations along the route. These stations provide Powerbar products such as original gels, energy bars, and isotonic sports drinks.
