The Golden Gate Trail Run takes place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Sausalito, CA at Rodeo Beach (1033 Fort Cronkhite). Event distances include:

- Kid's Run (6yo & younger, 50 yd dash, free)
T-shirts are given to pre-registered runners. All finishers receive a custom medal; 50K finishers also receive a custom coaster. Overall top three men and women in each distance receive awards and race credits. Top three finishers in each age group and gender receive medals.
Course, aid stations and logistics
Courses feature coastal and Marin Headlands views and are marked with ribbon about every 200 yards. Color coding is used for each distance (8K - yellow; Half Marathon - pink loop; 30K - pink + orange + pink; Marathon - pink loop twice; 50K - 30K + pink). Polka-dot flagging indicates turns; blue ribbons mark wrong-way junctions. GPX files are available for each distance.
Elevation gain and surface by distance: the 8K gains 1,010' (single track 60%, dirt road 33%, asphalt 7%); Half Marathon 2,550' (single track 52%, dirt road 44%, asphalt 4%); 30K 4,030' (single track 44%, dirt road 50%, asphalt 6%); Marathon 5,100' (single track 52%, dirt road 44%, asphalt 4%); 50K 6,580' (single track 48%, dirt road 47%, asphalt 5%).
Aid stations are fully stocked every 4–6 miles with fresh fruit, salty snacks, candy, water, and Skratch electrolyte drink. The event is cupless; runners should bring their own fluid container. Drop bags are allowed for the 30K, Marathon, and 50K. No dogs are allowed on course. Headphones are allowed only on dirt road sections and not on single-track, when crossing paved roads, at aid stations, or when finishing.
