The Golden Gate Trail Run is a trail running event held at Rodeo Beach in Sausalito on February 7, 2026. The event is sold out and the waitlist is closed. Runners will see coastal vistas and views of the Marin Headlands, Tiburon, San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Courses are marked with ribbon approximately every 200 yards and use color coding for each distance. Polka-dot flagging indicates turns and blue ribbons mark wrong routes. GPX files are available for each distance. Surface types and elevation gain vary by distance; single track, dirt road and asphalt sections are used on different courses.
Aid stations are fully stocked every 4 to 6 miles with fruit, salty snacks, candy, water and Skratch drink. Runners are advised to carry at least 20 ounces of water between stations. The event is cupless; participants should bring their own fluid container. Drop bags are allowed for the 30K, marathon and 50K at the start and finish. Headphones are permitted on dirt road sections only. Dogs are not allowed on course. Organizers recommend staying on trails to reduce exposure to poison oak.
