Glass House Standing
Coochin Creek, Australia • 31 Dec 2025
Event overview
The Glass House Standing is a Backyard Ultra held at Wild Horse Mountain Scenic Lookout, Wild Horse Rd, Coochin Creek, on 31 December 2025. The course uses a loop of 6.7 km that competitors must complete each circuit. The overall winner is the Last One Standing, defined as the sole runner to complete a loop on their own. Proceeds from the event are donated to the Save Our Glasshouse Mountains campaign.
Format, course and rules
Each loop starts on the hour. Runners must be inside the starting corral before the triangle is rung for the next loop; failure to be present at that moment results in disqualification. Each loop must be completed within the hour to count. Competitors may not leave the course during a loop except to use the restroom. Non-competitors and withdrawn runners are not allowed on the course. No personal aid is permitted on the course; receiving medical aid on course also leads to disqualification, though first aid is available at the start/finish area. Artificial aids such as poles are not permitted. Head torches are allowed and are mandatory for night loops. The course will be marked with reflective orange flagging tape and red arrows; red crosses mark incorrect intersections.

Entry is limited to 200 competitors. The entry fee is A$185. Minimum age is 15 years; participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian present.
