Cobb & Co Backyard Ultra

The Cobb & Co Backyard Ultra is scheduled for 14 November 2026 at the Cobb & Co Nine Mile Camping Grounds, 1484 Noosa Road, Tandur, Gympie Qld. The event uses the Backyard Ultra format: competitors run a 6.7 km loop inside the campground and repeat it each hour. Each loop must be completed within the hour to be counted. The contest continues until only one runner completes a loop on their own.

The course is contained within the camping grounds and is marked with reflective orange flagging tape and red directional arrows. Runners must remain on course for each loop except for restroom use. Competitors must be inside the starting corral when the loop begins; failure to be present at that moment results in disqualification.

No personal aid is allowed on the course and non competitors are prohibited from entering the course. Crew and spectators may use a designated crew area with an allocated 3 by 3 metre space per competitor. Day visit passes for crew and spectators cost $5 per person valid until 4pm; overnight camping and glamping options are available on site. Camping fees are $20 per adult and $17 per child with infants under two free. Sites are unpowered and generators are permitted in specified hours.

Entry fee is $195. Minimum age is 15 years. Participants under 18 require a parent or guardian on site. Race refunds are available until 1 November 2026 subject to a $30 administration charge. Transfers to another person or event are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
