Frogman 5K Trail Run
The Frogman 5K Trail Run is an athletic event held in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Established in 2012 by the Campbell family, the race serves to honor the memory of SOC (SEAL) Christopher Campbell and his teammates. The proceeds from the event support SE Outdoors and the Jacksonville-Onslow Sports Commission.
Participants can choose from the following event categories:
- 5 km trail run or walk through a wooded property known as the 400-acres.
- 5 km trail run without a finisher medal for late registrants.
- 5 km virtual race to be completed independently between March 1 and March 22.
- Stroller participant category for children aged five and under.
The in-person course consists of a predominantly flat trail created specifically for this event. A time limit of two hours is enforced for completion. Finishers receive a medal, and awards are presented to the top overall male and female runners, masters winners, and first-place finishers in each age division.
Logistics for the event include a mandatory shuttle service, as there is no participant parking available at the race site. Packet pickup is scheduled for the day prior to the race at local athletic stores in Jacksonville. While strollers are permitted for young children, dogs are not allowed on the course unless they are registered service animals. T-shirts are available as an optional purchase during the registration process. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
