Event Overview

The Farther Together Endurance Challenge is a family-friendly event on April 11, 2026, at Hamar Pavilion in North Park, Allison Park, Pennsylvania. It raises money for Folds of Honor Western PA.

Events and Distances

Participants can choose from several event formats, all based on a 4.7-mile loop course:

  • Multi Loop Endurance Ruck Event
  • Multi-Loop Endurance Run Event
  • Single loop-Run, Ruck or Walk event

In the multi-loop events, participants attempt as many loops as possible within set time periods of 4, 6, 8, or 12 hours. For the official rucking event, the guideline is a weighted backpack of 30 pounds for men and 20 pounds for women. Participants may use less weight or no weight if registered for the multi-loop events.

Additional Information

T-shirts, swag, and door prizes are guaranteed for the first 100 registrants. A limited number of sweatshirts will be available for purchase. The Northside Nemesis is a free 30k foot race in Pittsburgh featuring a course that climbs 57 city staircases. This non-profit event welcomes donations to support its costs and benefit Riverview Park programming.

Run or walk for a song at the Soles for Songs 5K. This flat out-and-back race on the scenic Panhandle Trail supports the South Hills Children's Choir. All participants are welcome, and early registrants get a t-shirt and goodie bag.

Run a fast half marathon or a family friendly 5K on the flat, scenic Yough River Trail. This event supports the volunteer group that maintains the Great Allegheny Passage. All finishers receive a commemorative medal.
