Devils River Run AND RIDE for HOPE
Devils River Run AND RIDE for HOPE is a combined running and cycling event scheduled for April 18, 2026, in the Devils River area near Del Rio, Texas. The event benefits Brooke’s Blossoming Hope for Childhood Cancer Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves children battling cancer worldwide. Races take place on roads and trails through Devils River State Natural Area and Val Verde County and finish at McKenna Ranch, 10929 Dolan Creek Road, about 44 miles north of Del Rio.
The event program includes three runs and three bicycle races. Run options are a marathon, a half marathon, and a 5K walk/run. Bicycle options include a gravel endurance ride and two mountain rides with different difficulty levels. Entry is limited for several events: the marathon and Devils River Ride are limited to the first 70 registrants, the half marathon is limited to 70, and the 5K and the Eagle Bluff and Cave Well rides are limited to 200 each.
Early bird registration is offered with reduced fees, and certain groups such as law enforcement, military personnel, and students were offered an additional coupon when contacting the organizer from an official email. Registered participants will receive email updates about safety, course maps and the schedule. A post-race gathering at McKenna Ranch will include a meal, live music, a vendor expo, auctions, awards and a raffle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
