The Crystal Cove Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Crystal Cove State Park, El Moro (8471 N. Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, CA). The event includes a post-race area with breakfast (vegan friendly), a 21+ beer garden, free race-day photos, same-day results, and post-race sports massages provided by Vision For Enrichment. On-site parking is available for a fee; overflow parking is at the Reef Parking Lot about one mile north on PCH.

Race distances and course details

  • 15K (El Moro) - 9.35 miles; 1,647 ft elevation gain; three aid stations.
  • 6K (Cut-Across) - 4.1 miles; 696 ft elevation gain; one aid station.
  • Kids 1K - 0.52 miles; 22 ft elevation gain; course around the nature preserve.

Both main distances run on fire road climbs, ridgeline descents and single-track trails. The 15K course includes the Rock Garden, Elevator and the Wall. All courses are marked with flour, ribbons and directional signs. Aid stations provide water, Skratch hydration and Crank e-Gels.

Awards and additional information

The 15K carries a $2,000 prize purse with podium payouts for top male and female finishers. Age-group awards are offered for the 6K and 15K. Finishers receive a medal and a race shirt.
