Crystal Cove Trail Run
The Crystal Cove Trail Run is the grand finale of the 2026 SoCalTrail Season at Crystal Cove State Park, El Moro, located at 8471 N. Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, CA 92651. The event offers multiple course options and trails that run close to the coast.
Distances:
- 15K 9.35 miles, 1,647 ft elevation gain
- 6K 4.1 miles, 696 ft elevation gain
- Kids 1K 0.52 miles, 22 ft elevation gain
The courses include fire road climbs, ridgeline descents and single track. The 15K course includes additional technical sections named the Rock Garden, Elevator and the Wall. Courses are marked with flour, ribbons and directional signs.
Aid and on-course support are provided: the 15K has three aid stations supplying water, Skratch Hydration and Crank e-Gels at miles 3.9, 5.6 and 7.5; the 6K has one aid station at mile 2.1. The event lists professional medical support and same day results.
Race amenities include female and male race shirts, hand-crafted finisher medals, free course photography with entry, a vegan friendly breakfast option, a post-race beer garden for ages 21 and over, and sports massage services. The 15K carries a $2,000 prize purse with specified payouts for the top three finishers. On-site parking costs $15 and accepts card only; overflow parking is at the Reef Parking Lot about one mile north on the Pacific Coast Highway.
