The Crystal Cove Trail Run takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Crystal Cove State Park, El Moro (8471 N. Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, CA 92651). The event includes three distances:
- 15K
- 6K
- Kids 1k (Under 14)
The 15K carries a $2,000 prize purse with podium prizes for male and female 1st ($500), 2nd ($300) and 3rd ($200). Packet pick-up is available at Arc’teryx Fashion Island. On-site race day parking is available for $15 (card only). Overflow parking is at the Reef Parking Lot, about a one-mile warm-up north on the PCH.
Course, aid and post-race services
Courses start and finish near the beach and use fire road climbs, ridgeline descents and single-track trails. The 15K includes the Rock Garden, Elevator and the Wall. Course specifics: the 15K is 9.35 miles with 1,647 feet of elevation gain; the 6K is 4.1 miles with 696 feet of gain; the Kids 1k is 0.52 miles with 22 feet of gain. The 15K has three aid stations (miles 3.9, 5.6, 7.5); the 6K has one aid station (mile 2.1). Aid stations provide water, Skratch Hydration and Crank e-Gels. Courses will be marked with flour, ribbons and directional signs.
All finishers receive a medal and a race shirt. Event features include same-day results, free race photography, a post-race beer garden (21+), breakfast, sponsor giveaways and post-race sports massages. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
