The Crystal Cove Trail Run takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Crystal Cove State Park, El Moro (8471 N. Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, CA). Courses and support
The 15K course is 9.35 miles with 1,647 feet of elevation gain. The 6K course is 4.1 miles with 696 feet of elevation gain. The Kids 1k course is 0.52 miles with 22 feet of elevation gain. Course surfaces include fire road climbs, ridgeline descents and single track. The 15K route includes features named Rock Garden, Elevator and the Wall. All courses are marked with flour, ribbons and directional signs.
Aid stations: the 15K has three aid stations providing water, Skratch Hydration and Crank e-Gels; the 6K has one aid station with the same items. Free course photos are provided to entrants.
Amenities, awards and logistics
Entries include a soft race shirt, finisher medal and a breakfast option that is vegan friendly. A 21+ beer garden and post-race sports massage are available. The 15K offers a $2,000 prize purse with cash awards for the top three male and female finishers. Overall and age-group awards are offered for the 6K and 15K; podium awards are given in the Kids 1k. On-site race-day parking costs $15 (card only); overflow parking is at the Reef Parking Lot about one mile north on the Pacific Coast Highway. Registration closes on Fri, Dec 12.
