The Crystal Cove Trail Run is described as the grand finale of the 2026 SoCalTrail season. It takes place at Crystal Cove State Park in Laguna Beach, California.
Race Distances and Courses
The event offers three race distances:
- 15K (El Moro): A course of 9.35 miles with 1,647 feet of elevation gain. It includes sections named the Rock Garden, Elevator, and the Wall, and has three aid stations.
- 6K (Cut-Across): A course of 4.1 miles with 696 feet of elevation gain, featuring one aid station.
- Kids 1k: A course of 0.52 miles with 22 feet of elevation gain for participants under 14 years old.
All courses are marked with flour, ribbons, and signs.
Participant Perks and Awards
Registration includes a race shirt, a finisher medal, free course photography, breakfast tacos (with a plant-based option), hot coffee, and access to a post-race beer garden for those 21 and over. Sports massage services are also provided.
Awards are given for age groups and overall podium placements for the 6K and 15K distances. A specific prize purse is offered for the 15K race.
Logistics
