Crystal Cove Trail Run
The Crystal Cove Trail Run takes place at Crystal Cove State Park in Laguna Beach, California. The event features multiple trail race distances that start and finish near the beach.
- 15K: 9.35 miles, 1,647 ft vertical
- 6K: 4.1 miles, 696 ft vertical
- Kids 1k: 0.52 miles, 22 ft vertical
Courses use single track, ridgeline descents and fire road climbs. The 15K route includes named technical sections called the Rock Garden, Elevator and the Wall. All courses are marked with flour, ribbons and directional signs.
Aid stations are provided on the courses. The 15K has three stations supplying water, Skratch Hydration and Crank e-Gels; the 6K has one station with the same supplies. Free course photography is provided for entrants.
Race amenities listed by the organizer include a race shirt, hand crafted finisher medals, post race beer garden for 21 and over, a family owned breakfast with plant based options, sports massage services and same day results. Awards are offered by age group for female and male divisions plus overall podium awards for female, male and non binary runners. The 15K carries a stated prize purse of $2,000 for female and male categories.
