The Clare Valley Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday, July 26, 2025, in the Clare Valley, about 2 hours north of the Adelaide CBD. All races are planned to start and finish at the Clare Showgrounds. Distance options for 2025 are:
- 10 km
- 25 km
- 50 km
A 10 km hike option is available in addition to the 10 km run.
Logistics and entry
Entry fees vary by distance and registration period, with examples ranging from $70 to $190. A pre-race dinner and bib collection will be held on the Friday evening at the Sevenhill Hotel; bibs can also be collected on race morning. Drop bags are allowed for 50 km runners and may be handed in at bib collection or on race morning. Drop bags will be available at the Sevenhill Hotel at the 27.5 km mark. Supporters may meet runners only at designated aid stations. Buddy runners are not permitted.
Aid stations and mandatory gear
Aid stations will supply water, Huma electrolyte drink, Coke, lollies, chips and muesli bars.
50 km aid stations (with km markers): Sevenhill Hotel - 3.8 km; Blue Gum Lookout - 10.2 km & 13.5 km; Cnr Jacob Range Rd & Scobie Rd - 19.5 km; Sevenhill Hotel - 27.5 km (+ drop bags); Cnr Dunns Range Rd & Clampett Rd - 34 km; Riesling Trail & Hubbe Rd - 41.8 km; Riesling Trail & Pinks Reserve - 45.9 km & 47 km.
25 km aid stations: Sevenhill Hotel - 3.8 km; Blue Gum Lookout - 10.2 km & 13.5 km; Sevenhill Hotel - 21 km.
10 km aid stations: Riesling Trail & Pinks Reserve - 5.4 km & 6.5 km.
At minimum, 50 km runners must carry a space blanket, whistle, mobile phone and capacity for at least 1 L of fluids, starting with at least 500 ml. Additional mandatory items may be required if the weather forecast changes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
