Chitty Chitty Run Run

Chitty Chitty Run Run is a two-day trail event held in Chittering (Chinkabee Rd, Bindoon, WA) as the final race of the Summer Series. The event includes a night trail on the first day and a morning trail on the second day, with optional on-site camping between the two events. The venue features a village start/finish area and local facilities for food and gathering.

On-site features include a DJ, food trucks, BBQ facilities for participants, opportunities for photography on scenic trails, and a community atmosphere with spectators at the start/finish area.

Courses follow a colour-coded system and run on remote trail terrain:

  • Green: walk or run, remote trail, 4-6 km
  • Blue: mostly runnable, remote trail, 9-12 km
  • Black: experienced trail distance, remote trail, 12-16 km

Children’s entry rules specify minimum ages and prior experience requirements. Green course minimum age is 6 years; children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Blue course minimum age is 12 years and requires completion of three Green events; the first Blue attempt must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Black course minimum age is 16 years and requires completion of three Blue events; the first Black attempt must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Logistics: bib pickup is on race day at the start/finish. An event brief is sent the Wednesday prior, registration stays open until the Tuesday before the event unless sold out, and a pre-race briefing is held 10 minutes before each race and is mandatory.
