Carkeek 12 Hour

Carkeek 12-Hour

Carkeek 6- and 12-hour events are offered in-person on October 24 and virtually from October 1 to October 31. The event is organized as a fundraiser for Endless Trails, with proceeds directed to local trails and Endless Trails operating costs.

The course is a loop of about 1.93 miles with approximately 436 feet of elevation gain per loop. Terrain includes rolling singletrack, steep stairs, and short flatter sections, with views of the Puget Sound. The event limits participation to 50 runners to reduce impact and maintain a small, old-school atmosphere.

The race emphasizes low-impact practices: no paper products at the event and a focus on sourcing aid and raffle items from local businesses. Costumes are encouraged and costume prizes are awarded for individuals, groups, and pets. Leashed dogs are welcome.

Two timed options are offered:

  • 12-hour timed lap event
  • 6-hour timed lap event

Additional details, course previews, and photographs have been made available by the organizer for participants. The event description notes a festive atmosphere with aid, snacks, and lap counting done in an informal, traditional style. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
