Cape Mountain Trail Runs
The Cape Mountain Trail Runs offer loop trail races on Cape Mountain, staged at Horse Creek Campground in the Siuslaw National Forest, about 15 miles north of Florence, Oregon. Courses run on singletrack through old growth rainforest, creek canyons, and coastal headland meadows with summit and meadow views toward the Pacific Ocean. The event is held within the Siuslaw National Forest and acknowledges the traditional lands of the Siuslaw peoples.

The event benefits Siuslaw High School cross country and track and field programs. The 10K participates in the USATF Mountain, Ultra, Trail Youth Initiative and offers discounted youth registration plus a limited number of free youth entries.
Race services included in the entry fee are a fully marked course, parking, timing and results, full aid stations, medical support, communications, post race food and beverages, and custom finisher awards. Registration opens December 14 and uses tiered entry fees through the registration period. Parking on race day has no fee, but RVs and trailers are not allowed and camping at the staging area is not available the night before the event. A post race meal and beverages are provided for participants; guests may purchase food on site for a modest cash contribution. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
