Brisbane Trail Marathon

Overview
The Brisbane Trail Marathon event includes three trail running distances starting and finishing at Enoggera Reservoir, The Gap, within the South D’Aguilar National Park. All routes traverse a mix of open fire trails and narrow single tracks through eucalypt woodlands and subtropical rainforest.
Race Distances
- Marathon: 42.37 km with approximately 2,046m of elevation gain.
- TRAQ 25: 25.8 km with approximately 1,214m of elevation gain.
- Walkabout Creek Trail Race: 12.5 km with approximately 520m of elevation gain.
Event Details
The event is capped at 300 participants. Registration fees are $125 for the Marathon, $95 for the TRAQ 25, and $65 for the Walkabout Creek race. Members of TRAQ receive a 10% discount. Minimum ages apply: 16 for the Walkabout Creek and TRAQ 25 races, and 18 for the Marathon. Refunds are available up to two weeks before the event, minus a $20 administration charge.
Mandatory Gear
All participants must carry specific gear. This includes a hydration capacity (2 litres for the Marathon, 1.5 litres for the TRAQ 25, and 0.5 litres for Walkabout Creek), a mobile phone, a basic first aid kit (compression bandage, space blanket, wound dressing), a whistle, and a soft cup. The event is cup-free.
On-Course Support
There are checkpoints on the longer courses providing water, an electrolyte drink (Tailwind), lollies, fruit, self-help first aid kits, and cola from the 17km/30km marks. Checkpoint marshals and sweepers are volunteers. All finishers receive a medal. Post-event, fruit, water, and electrolytes are included. Coffee, cold drinks, and a BBQ will be available for purchase.
Logistics
Parking is available in designated SEQ Water areas. Car-pooling is recommended. Gates open at 5:15 AM and are locked at 6:30 AM until approximately 8:00 AM. There will be no pacers or drop bags allowed. Toilets are located at South Boundary Rd/Hell Hole pass. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
