Brisbane Trail Marathon
Enoggera Reservoir, Australia • 26 Apr 2026
Event Overview
The Brisbane Trail Marathon is held in the South D’Aguilar National Park, with all distances starting and finishing at the Enoggera Reservoir in The Gap. The event is organized by the Trail Running Association of Queensland (TRAQ) and is capped at 300 participants. Runners travel through diverse environments including eucalypt woodlands, lush subtropical rainforest, open fire trails, and narrow single tracks.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 42.2 km Full Trail Marathon with approximately 2,046 m elevation gain.
- 25.8 km TRAQ-25 race with approximately 1,214 m elevation gain.
- 12.5 km Walkabout Creek Trail Race with approximately 520 m elevation gain.
Course Details and Safety
The courses utilize the local trail network, including sections such as the Reservoir Trail, South Boundary Road, and Hell Hole Break. Checkpoints are positioned at intervals along the routes providing water, electrolytes, fruit, and basic first aid supplies. Due to the remote nature of the trails, specific mandatory gear is required for all participants, including a minimum water carrying capacity (ranging from 0.5 to 2 litres depending on the race), a mobile phone, a whistle, a first aid kit, and a soft cup.
Logistics
The event site at Enoggera Reservoir features an open area in front of the dam wall. Parking is available in designated SEQ Water reserved areas.
