TRAQ Brisbane Trail Marathon Race Day
The Brisbane Trail Marathon Race Day takes place in the South D’Aguilar National Park. All scheduled courses begin and end at the Enoggera Reservoir in The Gap, utilizing the local trail network. The routes consist of a variety of terrain including open fire trails, narrow single tracks, eucalypt woodlands, and subtropical rainforest.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 42.3 km Marathon: A full trail distance featuring 1796 m of elevation gain. The route includes technical sections such as Hell Hole Break, Blacksoil Break, and the Reservoir Trail.
- 25.8 km TRAQ-25: A course that follows the Reservoir Trail and ascends Centre Road toward Mt Nebo, featuring the narrow Hell Hole Break section.
- 12.5 km Walkabout Creek Trail Race: A shorter distance course with 450 m of elevation gain.
The event features specific time limits for completion. The full marathon has a cut-off time of 7 hours, while the 25.8 km event has a cut-off time of 5 hours and 30 minutes. Additional checkpoint cut-offs are implemented for the marathon distance. The finish line for the longer events is located in front of the dam wall at the reservoir.
