Brimbank Park Running Festival
The Brimbank Park Running Festival is a trail running event taking place on a Sunday. The event offers a range of distances:
- 2 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 21 km
- 42 km
- 50 km
The event features a team challenge. Participants can form teams from their school, club, or workplace. Points are earned per kilometre run, and the team covering the most kilometres wins a prize. Participants must include their team name during registration.
The park is described as a mixture of open spaces, wooded river trails, and picturesque river crossings, with a couple of climbs. It is located approximately 15 minutes northwest of the city. Facilities include a cafe, and a playscape for children. A donation is made to Canteen, an Australian organisation for young people living with cancer, from each participant's entry.
Registration includes different pricing tiers: Special, Early Bird, Standard, and Late. On-day registration is available with an additional fee. Race bibs are collected at a compulsory check-in, and a compulsory race briefing is held before each distance starts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
