Brazos Bend 50 : April edition
Brazos Bend 50 is a trail race day at Brazos Bend State Park near Needville, Texas, held on April 10, 2027. The event uses flat, smooth trails including crushed rock paths, shaded singletrack, and wide horse trails, with roughly 10 feet of elevation gain. The park setting includes visible wildlife, including American alligators observed from a safe distance.
Race services include chip timing, multiple fully stocked aid stations, volunteer support, free professional race photos, and a free park shuttle bus for participants and guests. Finish awards are a buckle for the 50-mile distance and medals for the other scored distances. Participants receive a choice of premium race swag. Organizers provide generous cutoff times to allow a wide range of paces.
Specific race policies note that each 50-mile participant may have one pacer for their final lap; pacer registration must be completed by the pacer and includes the required park pass, parking shuttle, pacer bib, aid station support, and insurance. Pacers are not allowed in other events except by special approval from the race director.
