The Bobcat Trail Run is an 11-mile trail race held at Cunningham State Park in Thurmont, Maryland on November 8, 2025. The event starts and finishes at the Manor Parking Area near 6709 Cunningham Falls Park Rd. Registration closes on October 28 at 11:59 PM ET. There is no race day entry.

Entrants and volunteers receive a 100% cotton T-shirt and a Finishers Cup. There are no overall, place, or age-group awards. Refunds are available minus $10.00 until one month before the race; after that no refunds are given.

Course and logistics

The course is an out-and-back on the Catoctin Blue Trail and the Cat Rock Yellow Trail. Runners begin near the Manor Visitors Center, run north on the Catoctin Trail, turn right onto the Cat Rock Trail at about 2.5 miles, and reach the turnaround at the Cat Rock trailhead on Route 77. The aid station is located at the turnaround, 5.5 miles from the start. Total elevation gain for the course is approximately 2200 feet. One steep section, "Bob's Hill," climbs about 800 feet in 1.5 miles and is rocky.

Time limits require reaching the aid station within 2.5 hours and finishing within 5 hours. Bib pickup is handled on race day and participants will have a photo taken at pickup. Photos and results are posted after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
