Big Wolf's Backyard Ultra Cacouna

The event takes place on June 27, 2026 at Quai de Cacouna Est on a site located between the municipalities of Cacouna and L'Isle-Verte. The format uses a single loop of 6.70 km with 52 m of positive elevation. The route is run day and night on this loop and follows a gravel path through fields, a marsh, a wooded area, and along a river. Participants start on the heliport runway in a festive atmosphere.

The site allows views of the St. Lawrence River. The river breeze generally keeps mosquitoes at bay, but the area can retain strong heat during the day and experience increased humidity and coolness at night.

Logistics specify that runners are fully responsible for their own supplies; only water is provided on site. Athletes may set up in the large communal tent with their chair, bag, and cooler. The Silver Ticket option is listed for this edition.

Required equipment includes a chair, a survival blanket (160 cm x 200 cm), food and hydration amounting to 8 liters at the start, a headlamp with spare battery (min. 150 lumens), a maximum of one standard box and one small cooler per runner, and a waterproof raincoat.
