Atheon

Atheon is a Last Rucker Standing endurance ruck event held on March 7, 2026, in Ashland City, TN, at 2150 Sams Creek Road. The event runs concurrently with the Music City Ultra and uses a roped Start/Finish corral as the central event hub.

The format is progressive elimination. Competitors repeatedly complete a predetermined loop of approximately 2.5 miles with about 800 feet of elevation gain per lap. Each lap has a one-hour time limit; a new evolution begins on the hour. The last competitor remaining must complete a final lap to officially claim victory. If no competitors return to the corral before the next whistle, the event will have no winner.

Equipment and support rules specify that each competitor must carry a ruck at a verified dry weight of 30 lb for males and 20 lb for females, with the weight clearly marked. No external aid is allowed on course; basic aid stations and restroom facilities are available at the venue. Prohibited items include trekking poles, walking sticks, weighted vests, plate carriers, and other non-back-distributed weight equipment.

Each competitor is assigned a 10'×10' canopy space in the staging area; spots are allocated first-come, first-served. Course officials and volunteers are stationed at key points, and a visible timing clock and corral officials track competitors by bib number. Early arrival for camping and setup is allowed on the day before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
