Alpine Solstice

Alpine Solstice is an early summer trail race held on one of the longest days of the year near Bend, Oregon. The event is based at Swampy Lakes Sno Park and uses smooth Central Oregon singletrack through the Cascade range.

The event is cupless, so participants should bring a cup or bottle for aid station refills. Trails used by the race are multi use and remain open to other users during the event. Dogs are not permitted to run with participants due to permit conditions.

Pre race coffee is served at check in. Post race offerings for participants and volunteers include a burrito bar and beer provided by event partners. Each finisher receives a custom finisher medal. The top three female, male, and non binary finishers in each race receive prizes from sponsors.

Registration fees vary by date: 55K is $125 from January 1 to March 31 and $140 from April 1 to June 17; Half Marathon is $95 from January 1 to March 31 and $115 from April 1 to June 17. Register by May 17 to be guaranteed a shirt size. The event operates under a special use permit with Deschutes National Forest and names Ridgeview cross country and track as its beneficiary. A trail half marathon in Bend, Oregon on July 11, 2026 covering 13.1 miles from the Athletic Club of Bend, limited to 300 runners with online registration closing July 9, 2026.

A four-race trail series in Bend, Oregon, held April 16 to July 16, 2026, with courses of 4 to 7 miles. Series registration covers all four races and single-race on site registration is available for $25 cash.

Point-to-point trail ultramarathons from Bend to Sisters in Central Oregon offering 100-mile and 50-mile courses, multiple aid stations, shuttles, and a 32-hour limit for the 100-mile event. Both races are sold out with a waitlist open.

On July 25, 2026 the Hoodoo Challenge offers a scenic trail half marathon and a 5K to Potato Hill with limited fields, post-race lunch and proceeds supporting local families.
