Alpine Solstice is a trail running event near Bend, Oregon, held at Swampy Lakes Sno Park on June 20, 2026. The event offers two distances:
- 55K 90% single-track, 4000 ft ascent and 4000 ft descent
- Half Marathon flowing single-track, about 1300 ft ascent
The 55K course passes by Tumalo Falls, includes four fully stocked aid stations, and is mostly single-track. The half marathon runs on Deschutes National Forest trails off Cascade Lakes Highway, is mostly non-technical, and includes one aid station near mile 9.5 supplying water, soda, electrolyte drink, gels, and snacks. The event is cupless; participants should bring a cup or bottle for aid stations. Trails used are multi-use and remain open to other users during the event; dogs are not permitted to run with participants due to permit conditions.
Registration fees vary by date: 55K ($125 Jan 1–Mar 31, $140 Apr 1–Jun 17) and Half Marathon ($95 Jan 1–Mar 31, $115 Apr 1–Jun 17). Register by May 17 to be guaranteed a shirt size. Cancelled registrations more than 30 days before the race may receive a 50% credit toward next year; cancellations 30 days or less receive no credit, refund, or transfer. If the event cannot be feasibly rescheduled after cancellation, refunds or credits will not be given.
Each finisher receives a custom medal; top three female, male, and non-binary finishers in each race receive sponsor prizes. Proceeds support the Ridgeview cross country and track team. The event is held under a special use permit with the Ochoco National Forest and is organized without discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.
