Alpine Solstice is a trail running event set for June 20, 2026, at Swampy Lakes Sno Park near Bend, Oregon. The event is held on trails in the Deschutes National Forest under a special use permit with the Ochoco National Forest. Trails used are multi-use and remain open to other users during the event. Dogs are not permitted to run with participants. The event is cupless, so participants are expected to bring a cup or bottle for aid stations. Ridgeview cross country and track team is the designated beneficiary. Post-race provisions include a burrito bar and beer for participants and volunteers, and Backporch Coffee is served at check-in.
Courses
- 55K - new 55K course runs past Tumalo Falls and offers views of high Cascade peaks.
- Half Marathon - route on Cascade Lakes Highway single track through Deschutes National Forest.
The 55K course has four fully stocked aid stations, about 4,000 ft of elevation gain and 4,000 ft of elevation loss, and is approximately 90% single-track and 10% two-track. The published time limit for the 55K is 11.5 hours. The half marathon has about 1,300 ft of elevation gain, is mostly non-technical, and has one aid station at mile 9.5 offering water, electrolyte drink, soda, gels, and snacks.
Registration and policies
Registration opens January 1, 2026. Listed early registration rates and later rates differ by date; shirt-size guarantee requires registration by May 17. There are no transfers to other runners. Cancellations more than 30 days before the race may receive a 50% credit toward the same event the following year; cancellations 30 days or less before the race receive no credit, refund, or transfer. If the organizer cancels an event and it cannot be feasibly rescheduled, refunds or credits will not be provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
