Courses and logistics
The 55K course is new for 2025 and runs on mostly single-track trail, including a section by Tumalo Falls. It has four fully stocked aid stations, about 4000 ft of elevation gain and 4000 ft of elevation loss, and is composed of roughly 90% single-track and 10% two-track. The event lists an overall time limit for the 55K.
The half marathon runs through the Deschutes National Forest off Cascade Lakes Highway, with about 1300 ft of elevation gain. It is described as mostly non-technical and includes one aid station at mile 9.5 offering water, soda, electrolyte drink, gels, and snacks. Trails used are multi-use and remain open to other users during the event. Dogs are not permitted to run with participants. The event is cupless, so participants should bring a cup or bottle. Pre-race coffee and post-race food and beer are provided for participants and volunteers. Refund and transfer policies are strict; partial credit is available only for cancellations made more than 30 days before the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
