Alpine Solstice
Alpine Solstice is an early summer trail race held on one of the longest days of the year near Bend, Oregon. The event is based at Swampy Lakes Sno Park and uses smooth Central Oregon singletrack through the Cascade range.
- 55K trail course including Tumalo Falls
- Half Marathon on classic Central Oregon singletrack
The event is cupless, so participants should bring a cup or bottle for aid station refills. Trails used by the race are multi use and remain open to other users during the event. Dogs are not permitted to run with participants due to permit conditions.
Pre race coffee is served at check in. Post race offerings for participants and volunteers include a burrito bar and beer provided by event partners. Each finisher receives a custom finisher medal. The top three female, male, and non binary finishers in each race receive prizes from sponsors.
Registration fees vary by date: 55K is $125 from January 1 to March 31 and $140 from April 1 to June 17; Half Marathon is $95 from January 1 to March 31 and $115 from April 1 to June 17. Register by May 17 to be guaranteed a shirt size. The event operates under a special use permit with Deschutes National Forest and names Ridgeview cross country and track as its beneficiary.
